bleFIND ("the App") helps you locate nearby Bluetooth devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning, showing real-time signal strength to find lost or misplaced items. bleFIND also offers an optional premium feature, Family & Friends, that lets you share your live location with people you invite to a private circle.
The core device finder works entirely on your device with no account. The Family & Friends feature is opt-in, requires an account, and is described in Section 4.
The App scans for BLE signals (device names, signal strength, manufacturer IDs) from nearby devices. All BLE scan data, your saved devices, and scan history are processed and stored entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on our servers.
If you choose to use Family & Friends, you create an account using your email address (we send a one-time sign-in code; no password is stored). We store your email address and subscription status to provide the service.
Family & Friends only collects location data after you explicitly turn on sharing for a circle. When sharing is on, the App periodically sends the following to our servers so your chosen circle members can see it:
Who can see it: only the members of circles you join or create. We never sell or share this data with advertisers or third parties.
You are in control: you can pause or stop sharing at any time with the in-app toggle, and leaving a circle stops sharing with that circle immediately. While sharing is paused, no location is collected.
Background location: with your permission, the App may report your location while running in the background so your circle stays up to date. Android shows an ongoing notification while this is active.
Live location is kept only as your latest position. Location history (the breadcrumb trail) and driving trips are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your account, location data, places, trips, and circle memberships.
We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Location data is shared only with the circle members you choose. We use a transactional email provider to send sign-in codes and notification delivery (Expo/Google/Apple) to deliver push alerts to your circle.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We collect basic crash and error diagnostics to keep the App working.
bleFIND is not directed at children under 13. Family & Friends should only be used to share a child's location with their consent and the consent of a parent or guardian, in accordance with applicable law.
You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time. Account and Family & Friends data can be deleted in-app or by emailing us. Account deletion is available at api.bleguard.com/delete-account.
We may update this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
